Toler has won eight straight fights since his lone professional loss on Jan. 3, 2020, most recently stopping Alexander Monterrosa in the third round of a scheduled 10-round bout on Nov. 4 in Carmen de Apicala, Colombia, on Nov. 4. Panin takes a 10-fight winning streak into Friday night's fight, most recently stopping Cristian Ruben Mino just 1:31 into the first round at Oxnard, California, on Dec. 2.

The Toler-Panin title bout caps a five-fight card from Houston. The night begins with the middleweight debuts of De Priest Joseph Johnson and Aaron Mick in a fight scheduled for four rounds. Next up is bantamweights Jose Camacho Torres (7-0-1, 3 KOs) and Luis Alberto Lopez (6-1-0, 3 KOs) in a six-round bout. Lopez is returning to the ring for the first time since he was knocked out by Pablo Cruz on Dec. 11, 2015.
Edel Gomez (8-0-1) battles James Weissman (5-1-0) in a light heavyweight fight also scheduled for six rounds. Gomez has won three straight bouts while Weissman comes off his first loss, a four-round unanimous decision to Jerell Nettles on Feb. 25 in Boulder, Colorado.
The final undercard tilt pits unbeaten Breyon Gorham (15-0-0, 13 KOs) against Wildredo Flores (10-1-1, 5 KOs) in the super lightweight division. Gorham stopped Oswaldo Quintanilla Ramirez by TKO in the fifth round of eighth in Piedras Negras, Mexico, on June 10. Flores lost by TKO to Gary Cully on Feb. 18 in Nottingham, England, in his last fight.
